Tell us more about yourself and your future goals.

I have been in this industry for 20 years and I am surprised that my two-decade long stint has not diminished my passion for design. In fact, I aspire to expand my business and I hope to open three more showrooms in the near future.

How do you get inspired?

I remember being very inspired when I was doing up my mom’s place. Other than that, I get inspired by thumbing through magazines and when I travel to exotic destinations. My uncle is also in the design industry so we like to exchange design tips as and when.

What are your favourite home styles?

I love the classic European style but with a dash of modernity. Too much of this elaborate style can be very overwhelming so the best solution is to fuse it with a modern contemporary touch.

What is the most important part of the design process?

Developing a comfortable relationship with the client. Also, being passionate about design is an integral part. Without passion, you cannot achieve great things in life.

What is your best piece of advice for aspiring designers?

When I first started out, I struggled a lot but I was determined to pull through. Against the odds, I am happy to be able to still survive in this competitive industry and to prove my detractors wrong. So, the best piece of advice I have for newbies is never give up on your dreams.
